MEMBERSHIP

If you are a talented female artist, looking for new venues and new challenges, then you may be interested in becoming a Fringe fine art member. Fringe is currently engaged in a call for artists and portfolio submissions – we are interested in seeing your work. We will be happy to review your work within a 30 day review process. We will contact you if we are interested and have a spot open in that particular medium. Thank you, and we are looking forward to your submissions.

ARTIST SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

Supply a minimum of 10 and no more than 20 high quality digital images of your work. Each file must be labeled as the title of the piece. Include title, medium & dimensions & year for each piece.
In the message body of the e-mail please include:

• Bio
• Resumé
• Artist Statement

MEMBERSHIP:

  • Membership entitles each female artist to submit art work for 4 conceptual group shows per year, FRINGE updates, curating opportunities, networking and critiques.
  • A non-refundable entry fee of $25 is required to enter each show.
  • Each show is juried by a rotation of 3 members.
  • A critique card is given to each artist  based on the work submitted for each show. Artist must score 10 – 15 points to exhibit in any FRINGE show.
  • Artist scoring below 10 will have 2 weeks to resubmit work after critique.
  • If art work does not score 10 out of 15 after resubmission, the work will not be included in the show.
  • You may participate in one show or all four.
  • Mandatory meetings are held before the shows and attendance is required.
  • All art work at our show must be for sale. No NFS.
  • Commissions vary according to gallery or venue.
  • FRINGE online profile is $25 if you would like your work displayed on our site.

 REQUIREMENTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR DIGITAL IMAGES:

All images must be submitted in JPEG format (file name extension .jpg) and RGB color mode. We recommend sending files that are 72 pixels-per-inch (ppi) because a higher resolution does not add clarity when viewing images on a computer screen.

Maximum file size: 3.0 MB per image. (Your image files will likely be considerably smaller than 3.0 MB.)

  • Membership is open to all (non-degree seeking) female visual artists above the age of 25 and we accept all fine art media (including all 2D, 3D, film, video and performance.)
